MAN'S FACE SLASHED ON FLATLANDS AVE.

An East 99th Street resident who was waiting for a take-out order just outside a Flatlands Avenue restaurant got into a confrontation with three men last Thursday night and was stabbed in the chest and had his face slashed, police said.

Police from the 69th Precinct said the incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. near the corner of East 89th Street. The victim told cops he was just outside smoking a cigarette while his take-out food was being prepared when three men came by and started to argue with him.

When one of the men started to push him and another tried to circle behind him, the man turned and raced south on East 89th Street.

Unfortunately, the trio caught him and one of them pulled out a knife, slashed his face and began stabbing him. They then fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Restaurant workers and other witnesses called 911 and police conducted a canvass of the area with negative results. Emergency Medical Service paramedics took the victim to Brookdale Hospital where he was admitted in stable condition, sources said.

The only description of the attackers was that the three men are black.

Anyone with information should call (718) 257-6215.
