It was an exciting week of 69th Precinct Community Council Baseball. In addition to regularly scheduled games on August 7 and 9, two All-Star games originally scheduled for two weeks ago were played last Thursday.

The coaches select outstanding players from each team for recognition after the game. But all players are worthy of praise.

Here are the latest outstanding players

Offensive players:

Taylor Benetiz had 2 triples; Brandon Cox-Dickson was 3-for-3 with two home runs; Corey Cox and Dorian Cole each were 3-for-4 and Jonis Snyder hit a two-run HR.

Defensive players:

Dorian Cole and Taylor Benetiz made outstanding plays at first and second bases, respectively. Jamarie Coran pitched a complete game.

It was a fun-filled All-Star afternoon at Canarsie Park last Thursday. These games had to be postponed two weeks ago due to the excessive heat. At the conclusion of the games, each player was presented with an All Star medal. Congratulations to the 2006 69 th PCT Baseball All Stars and their coaches.
