Free Summer Concerts Making Music In Brooklyn
Free Monday concerts enter their 24th summer in Central Brooklyn, highlighting the best in R&B, classic soul, gospel, hip-hop, calypso, and reggae. And that means another exciting edition of Brooklyn's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Concert Series at Wingate Field in Central Brooklyn, hosted by Borough President Marty Markowitz.
This year, Brooklyn plays host to a star-studded lineup of musical acts: LL Cool J, Roberta Flack and Stephanie Mills, and calypso & reggae with The Mighty Sparrow and Toots and the Maytals. The series kicked off on Mon-day and continues each Monday through August 21.

If you love music, you're in luck, because the annual Seaside Summer Concert Series - hosted by Borough Pre-sident Marty Markowitz at Asser Levy Seaside Park in Brighton Beach-Co-ney Island - is kicking off its 28th season this evening with the incomparable Al Green. The fun continues each Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. through August 24. All performances are free and open to the public.
