Promoting TLC

City Council members last week announced their support for Animal Care & Control’s new “Teach Love & Compassion” (TLC) program on the steps of City Hall. TLC is an innovative program that addresses the needs of shelter animals while making them more adoptable through home-based human contact. TLC brings youth and seniors together to provide loving care to newborn, sick, injured, abused and neglected animals. AC&C has joined with NYC Dept. of Aging and several senior centers to match seniors with pets for foster care and kids to provide valuable mentoring. AC&C provides food, veterinary supervision and medical supplies.
