Bank Robber Gets A Bundle

A bank robber got away with an undetermined amount of cash from the above Washington Mutual Bank at Avenue L and Rockaway Parkway, last Friday, police said.
Washington Mutual Bank at the corner of Rockaway Parkway and Avenue L was the scene of a bank robbery last Friday afternoon.

Police from the 69th Precinct said the man walked into the bank at about 3:30 p.m., slipped a threatening note to the teller demanding money and then fled on foot. Police said they did not know the amount of cash taken and bank officials did not have a comment on the robbery.
