A: The ratings for the CBS show are down from last season, although they’re still quite respectable. Amber has expressed some frustration at how her character has been portrayed lately. She feels it’s a departure from the initial concept and has expressed these concerns to the producers. However, creative differences are nothing new among actors, writers, and producers. She’s made some noises about possibly leaving, but I tend to doubt it. That the two sides are discussing this is a hopeful sign. * * * Q: What’s behind the feud between teen queens Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff? In a perfect world, they’d be the best of friends. Alexis G. A: Gossip has it that it all started with Aaron Carter, who dated both girls. However, despite all the press reports of bad blood between them, Duff refuses to acknowledge it’s true. All she says is, she doesn’t even really know Lindsay, but that she’s heard her say some terrible things about her (Duff) that just aren’t true. All she wants, she says, is for Lohan to just stop talking about her. * * * Q: On the “All My Children” episode where Jacob Young was performing for some charity benefit, I noticed he had some tattoos. Are those real, or were they just part of makeup for his character, JR? Also, he sounded really good. Does he really perform in a rock band? Mindy T. A: Those were Young’s actual tattoos, and the folks at “All My Children” decided not to hide them. As for performing, yes, he really does have his own band. Personally, I was impressed by his musical talent. * * *
