Old Man Winter Gives Us Big Chill — And A Thick Blanket Of Snow

More than a month after a rather mild start, Old Man Winter dropped by for a harsh seasonal visit last weekend that blanketed New York City with the biggest single snowfall we’ve had in about two years. Final accumulations averaged about a foot to fifteen inches citywide with more to areas north and east of the city.
