Energy-Efficient Mortgages Program May Save You $$$

With home heating costs likely to be high this winter, you’ll want to do everything you can to save money on utilities. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is making it easier to keep your house warm by offering Energy Efficient Mortgages (EEM).

EEMs allows you to finance buying a home or refinance an existing mortgage and include the cost of energy- efficient renovations in one single mortgage. Find out more about which improvements are covered, eligibility guidelines, and where to apply with HUD’s Energy Efficient Mortgages Program.
