“You know, unless someone told me there were armed guards on the plane, I wouldn’t even know they were there. Probably not, I wouldn’t feel safer with them on the plane. I’ve been on several flights and never had a problem.”
Alan Goldfarb, Starrett City “Definitely, no. It makes me feel nervous knowing there are armed guards on the plane. Then, you’ve got the problem of abuse of authority. If you’re just going from here to New Jersey or on a leisure trip, there’s no need for all that authority.”
Daryl N., Canarsie “Yes, we would have someone there in case of trouble. But then again, what are other nations going to think of us having armed guards on our planes? So, it’s good for our security, but it will hurt our national reputation.”
Michael Carter, East Flatbush “Yes, I would feel safer. I know if something happens, security could act faster.”
