Principal At P.S. 115 Energizes School’s Spirit
In an effort to motivate students to be proud of their school, P.S. 115 Principal Mitch Pinsky came up with the idea for a monthly “School Spirit Day.” On that day, students are asked to wear school t-shirts and participate in brief classroom activities, coordinated by teacher Jackie Zammit, to get them in the mood. At the kick off event last Friday, students took part in line ball, an “ABC Rock” sing-a-long and listened to jokes from a dozen comical classmates. At the end of the school day students paraded around the East 92nd Street school.
