While arresting a man for alleged possession of a firearm last week, police from the 69th Precinct discovered a “few bags” of marijuana in his car, according to reports.

The three cops, Police Officers Ron Mentore, Yancy Blowe and Michael Simmonds, were patrolling in an unmarked car near the corner of Rockaway Parkway and Avenue J at about 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, when a man approached their vehicle and pointed out a car parked near the corner in which, he said, the driver was in possession of a gun.
