Question: New York lawmakers want to make it mandatory for drivers repeatedly found guilty of drunk driving to have special license plates on their cars. Do you agree with this? Why?

“I don’t agree with that because somebody else other than the drunk driver might be driving the car and that person might not necessarily be a drunk driver. The law doesn’t have a lot of meaning in that case.”M. They don’t have to have it broadcast on their license plates.” Kamar Esty, Canarsie“No, because that’s broadcasting a crime. Crimes should be held in confidence. I want to know if the person is a drunk driver so I can stay safe. I can take another route or stay away from them.”

So they have to be wary and careful of drunk drivers.” Valerie Mesias, Canarsie“I agree because some people who are driving are fragile — the elderly, the handicapped.
