Congressman Ed Towns To Host Meeting On Local Postal Service

Congressman Ed Towns (pictured), who represents Brooklyn’s 10th Congressional District, will host a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, July 7 at 6:30 p.m., at Holy Family School, 9717 Flatlands Avenue, near Rockaway Parkway. Park-ing is available in the school’s parking lot on Conklin Avenue.

The meeting will focus on service at the Canarsie Post Office, which area residents have complained about to elected officials for several years. Social Security is another topic on the agenda. Constituents may also inquire about other issues during the session.

Congressman Towns has invited Brooklyn Postmaster Joseph Lubrano to attend and answer questions regarding local postal service. Other confirmed speakers are New York City Councilmember Lew Fidler, State Assemblyman Frank R. Seddio and Saul Needle, Chairperson of, Com-munity Board 18.
