Left to right are John Salogub, Curiale, Hamilton, City Councilman Lew Fidler, Assemblymembers Frank Seddio and Nick Perry Community residents who have dedicated themselves to serving the Canarsie community were recognized by the 69th Precinct Community Council during its fourth annual fundraising breakfast last Sunday at the Midget Squadron Yacht Club.

Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes was a special guest and congratulated those who were honored for their hard work and commitment to keeping the neighborhood vibrant.

Hynes presented awards to Paul Curiale, executive director of Millennium Development Corp.; Dan MacBride, former crime prevention officer of the 69th Precinct; and John Salogub, Community Council president.

More than 100 people attended the event. Join-ing Hynes in praising the award recipients were elected officials State Assemblymembers Frank Seddio and Nick Perry and City Councilman Lew Fidler. Text and photos by Dara Mormile
