Little Ones Take Big Steps To Help March Of Dimes

For the fifth consecutive year, students from Public School 115 on East 92 Street got out of the classroom for a short walk around the school in support of the annual March of Dimes Wonderwalk. Before pupils paraded around the school building to help raise funds that are used in research to find a cure for the debilitating disease, the Canarsie High School cheerleading squad performed for the schoolwide event. March of Dimes representative Chad Witsell said, “In the last two years I’ve been going to these walk events, P.S. 115 is the best school I’ve seen. The preparation and dedication of school coordinator Jackie Zammit is wonderful.” Pictured below (clockwise from top right): first graders prepare for the short walk; Principal Mitch Pinsky and Zammit pose with students; one class heads north on East 91 Street as another finishes the walk in front of the school; Pinsky, Witsell and Zammit.
