Rape suspect Christian HarrisonRape suspect Christian Harrison Police from Canarsie’s 69th Pre-cinct have joined with the NYPD Special Victims Squad, along with a number of other Brooklyn precincts, in searching for a man suspected of committing at least two rapes and robberies, one in the Bay Ridge area and another in Brownsville. Police sources here have indicated that Christian Harrison, 20 to 22 years old, whose last address was listed as Bergen Street, Brooklyn, had been seen in the vicinity of Rockaway Parkway and Farragut Road as recently as last week.

Police said Harrison is being sought for a rape and robbery on 79th Street in Bay Ridge on December 18, 2004 and another on Martense Street on January 29, 2005.

In the first case, the suspect met a 25-year-old Hispanic woman on the subway and convinced her to go to his house. When they arrived at the 79th Street address, he told her he lost his key and took the woman to the basement, where he allegedly raped and sodomized her, police said. He then took her to the Staten Island Ferry, took a necklace from her and fled.

In the second incident, police said, Harrison knocked on the door of a 27-year-old woman on Martense Street and asked to use the phone, stating he lived in the building but could not get into his apartment. She let him into her home and Harrison allegedly threatened her with a knife and attacked her. After raping and sodomizing the woman, the suspect took her to two ATM machines, forced her to withdraw some cash and fled.

Police said Harrison has two prior arrests for robbery and resisting arrest. He is described as five feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. When last seen he had a ponytail. He also has a tattoo on his left arm depicting Jesus crying red tears. The suspect has also been known to go by the aliases of Isiaha Mitchell and Lamar Thomas. Anyone with information is asked to call the 69th Precinct Detective Squad at (718) 257-6215 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls will be kept strictly confidential.
