Our Latin Caribbean Dance was a huge success. Many parishioners and their friends had a great time. The “D.J.” was great as well as the food. Thanks to committees who decorated, organized and worked so hard to bring more people out. Thanks to all who provided food. The crowd was large and all had a good time!!!

If you or your family is in need of food, please stop by the rear basement doors of Our Lady Miracles Rectory on the days listed. Also, anyone who cares to donate any food, the pantry is always is in need of dry milk, cold cereal, peanut butter & jelly, mayonnaise, cooking oil, tuna fish, corned beef hash, paper goods and whatever else. We are proud to present the Math and ELA scores for grades 4 & 8 for the past school year. These scores are right with or above the Diocese and State.
These percentages represent the number of students in Level 3 & 4, which meet and surpass the state standard. Grade 4 Math 77%, ELA 57%. Grade 8 Math 53%, ELA 83%. Thanks to our teachers who expend a great deal of effort to achieve these results.
All the computers in our lab have been upgraded by the students. Grades 1 & 4 will be using a new program that connects to a projector and allows the children to use a remote control to answer questions and be assessed by the teachers.

The Off-Broadway Production of Late Nite Catechism is coming to Mary Queen of Heaven Saturday, October 23rd in the Parish Hall. Doors will open at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available in the Rectory Office.
On Saturday, October 30th at 11 am we will have a special Mass to remember all those who have died this past year.
We invite the families of all those who were buried from our Parish this year, and all those who have lost loved ones to attend this services. Our Adult Education Series continues on Tuesday nights. The theme for this session is Important Men and Women in the Bible. The remaining sessions are: October 26 - Ruth: Model of Filial Piety.
The presenters are Father Steven Aguggia (the men) and Sister Helen Marie Cahill, FMSC (the women).
Come and join us for these evenings of history and spirituality. Sessions begin at 7:30 pm in the Parish Hall.
Consider joining a Parish Scripture Faith Sharing Group and let God’s grace strengthen you. The session began this week and will continue for six weeks.

Our Fall series will focus on “What Do We Believe As Catholics?” It is every Tuesday at 7:30 P.M. in the Community room. The topic this week will be Jesus: Mission and Evangelization of his time and today. This is a part of our cluster adult faith formation program and is intended for adults who went to Catholic School or Religion classes as a youngster and would like to update their knowledge of the Catholic faith.
Our parish prayer breakfast will be on Saturday, October 30th. It will begin with 8:45 A.M. Mass, and continue with a full breakfast and a speaker in Coyne Hall.

The 12:30 PM Mass is our Bi-lingual Mass. The first reading, the psalm and some of the hymns will be in the language of the day. October 24th and 31st are in English.

The annual Marian Pilgrimage of the Brooklyn Diocese is scheduled for October 23rd, 2004. We will share a bus with Holy Family Church. The bus will leave at 6:00 A.M. from Holy Family parking lot and return at 11:00 P.M.
