Q: I read in your column where you said that the last episode of "Friends" would be taped in different versions for various live audiences. However, that wasn’t true. I heard that the end of the last episode was filmed on a closed set. How could you be so wrong?

Mike M.

A: Originally, the plan was to do exactly what I said. However, that all was changed. As you correctly point out, the final scenes were done on a closed set. However, as I cautioned before, forget any rumors you may hear about how this all ends. We really won’t know for sure until the episode airs.

Q: I love George Lopez. Do you think he’ll be doing any big screen movies now that his career’s taken off on TV?

Tammy J.

A: Most likely, George will be offered film roles. The problem is, they’ll probably be of a comedic nature, since that’s what he’s known for. Lopez, though, would prefer to stretch his wings and take a shot at a dramatic role.

Q: I heard that Mayor Rudy Giuliani is thinking of running for senator again from New York, this time against that state’s Chuck Schumer. Does he have a shot?

Wally P.

A: In a recent poll, Giuliani crushes Schumer for that seat. However, the former mayor of N.Y.C. doesn’t seem interested in running for senator. His name has also been bandied about for governor of New York, but again, he’s not up for that. Instead, many speculate that Giuliani has his sights set on a run for the presidency in the future.
