CRISP AND FRESH - I store my celery in a two-liter soda bottle. I cut off the top and fill it partially with water. I then put the celery upright into the bottle and place it into the refrigerator. It stays crispy a lot longer when stored that way. Grace D.

CRAYON REMOVAL - I have wood floors in my living room and bedrooms. Unfortunately, my toddler got some crayon marks on the floor of his room. To remove it, I froze the marks with ice. I then cracked the wax into fragments and scraped them away with a plastic spatula. If you don’t have the spatula, your fingernails will do the trick. Just take care not to scratch too deeply. Gwen C.

CLEAN CAR - While driving the other day, I went through a road that was being tarred. Naturally, I got tar on my car. To remove it without ruining my paint finish, I held a cloth soaked in cooking oil to the spot until the tar loosened. I then scraped it off with a paper towel. The same method can be used for bird droppings. Frank B.
