QUESTION: President Bush, as well as the Vatican, recently reiterated firm opposition to gay marriages. In fact the president said Americans should respect gays, but only unions between men and women should legally be considered a marriage. How do you feel about this issue?
|“I think anybody can get married. If you feel that way about that person — if you love that person — you should go ahead and do what you want. It doesn’t matter what everybody says, because ‘everybody’ doesn’t have to live with that particular person.” Ashley Denis, Canarsie||“I’m from the traditional belief that only a man and a woman should get married. I have nothing against gay people. If gay people want to love together, that’s okay. They should have their rights. But the institution of marriage should only be for a man and a woman.” Ian Buddington, Canarsie|
