Brooklyn’s Thanksgiving Bounty
Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz (center) was happy he could help distribute more than 600 turkeys, 1,750 pounds of apples, 1,700 pounds of collard greens, 1,400 pounds of baking potatoes and 1,000 pounds of sweet potatoes to the borough’s neediest on Monday. Representatives from dozens of community groups came to Borough Hall to pick up the holiday bounty, which will feed thousands in Brooklyn this Thanksgiving. The food was donated by HealthPlus, Fulton Street Mall and the Korean-American Brooklyn Association, NY. Inc.
