Slain Teen’s Mother To Be At Youth Center "Hug-In" Friday

Police Officers James Johnson and James Davis, youth officers for the 69th Precinct, who handle the youth center at P.S. 114, announced this week that there will be a "Hug-In" at the center tomorrow, Friday, November 30th for the mother of Jelani Isaac, the youth who was murdered Thanksgiving eve.

"Ms. Isaac said she would agree to come to the school at about 4 p.m. on November 30th," said Officer Johnson. "The young members of the center said they wanted to pay their respects to her by giving her a ‘gentle hug’ and she felt it would be a nice gesture."

Johnson said Jelani had expressed an interest in joining the 69th Precinct Explorers, a young adult branch of the Boy Scouts who have an interest in police and law enforcement work.
