There are so many sad, sad stories as a result of the Twin Towers disaster. Mrs Antoinette Rubino of Remsen Avenue called to say her daughter, Jo Anne Rubino was working for Marsh & McClennan on the 98th floor of Building No. 1 of the World Trade Center when the first aircraft hit the building on the fateful morning of September 11th.

They haven’t heard anything more about her.

"We’re frantically calling everyone," said Jo Anne’s aunt, Betty Corso, "but we know the rescuers are doing everything they can."

Jo Anne is 44, stands five-feet, one-inch and has brown hair and brown eyes.

"We know they’re trying, but we’re praying fervently that something will turn up," said Mrs. Rubino. "I don’t know if telling the Courier will do any good but, right now, we have to let it out of our system."

She said she will continue to hope and pray. Charles Rogers
