United Canarsie South Civic (New Name)
     To avoid confusion with the South Canarsie Civic Association, the Canarsie South Civic Association has decided to prefix its title with the word "United." Therefore, the group will now be referred to as the "United Canarsie South Civic Association." The group covers the area west of Rockaway Parkway and south of Seaview Avenue. Their next meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 12th at 7:30 p.m. at the HES, East 95th Street and Seaview Avenue. For information, call 531-8130.

Senior Citizens Wanted
     The Abe Stark Senior Center at 103-15 Farragut Road (between East 103 and East 104 Streets) welcomes all community residents age 60 and older. Funded by the New York City Department for the Aging, the center provides a nutritious and tasty breakfast and lunch daily. The center schedules various trips and activities each month, along with daily activities throughout the year. The administrative staff is equipped to assist seniors with various needs and to provide them with pertinent information, including medical and transportation assistance.
