Shrine Of St. Jude

Pentecost Mass: To celebrate the Feast of Pente-cost, we will have a Multi-Lingual Mass on May 30th at 12:30 P.M. During the Mass, 16 people will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please pick someone out on the display in the Narthex and pray for them. This Mass will last about 1 1/2 hours.

Liturgical Changes: Bishop DiMarzio has called for several liturgical changes at Mass. So beginning today: The assembly, congregation are now to STAND when the priest says, "Pray brothers and sisters, that our sacrifice..."

Also, before receiving Holy Communion, both the Body and Blood, each person please BOW your head as a sign of respect towards the Real head; as a sign of respect towards the Real Presence of Jesus. Fr. Rizzo and Fr. Mike will be reminding you of these during Masses.

Spanish Prayer Group: The Spanish Prayer Group celebrated their anniversary with a retreat day last Saturday in the school.

Bible Study. Our Spring Bible Study will focus on the Book of Job from the Old Testament. The study will occur each Tuesday at 7:30 P.M. at Holy Family School on Flatlands Ave. and East 98th Street. This is part of our cluster adult faith formation program.

Bi-Lingual Masses: The 12:30 PM Mass is our Bi-lingual Mass. The first reading, the Psalm and some of the hymns will be in the language of the day. May 23rd English.
