Sephardic Rabbi Myron Rakowitz, President Israel Maya, Hazan Isac Faineh and Sisterhood President Hermosa Behar cordially invite you to attend our Religious and Educational programs. Friday night service begin with Shir Hashirim at 7 PM. Everyone is invited to attend our Kiddush this Shabbat which is being tendered by Rabbi Myron and Sarah Rakowitz in memory of Sarah’s mother Ida Kitainik. Rabbi Rakowitz conducts a class immediately following the Kiddush on Shabbat morning. Saturday evening Tehilim and Torah Study at 6:30 PM, followed by Seudah Shilisheth. Daily services at 7:00 AM, Sunday services at 8:00 AM, Shabbat services at 8:30 AM. Our 39th Journal Kick-Off Sunday, May 2nd, honoring Hilda and Robert Eskenazi was well attended and got our Journal Ads off to a good start & thank you to our Sisterhood President Herma Behar and her Committee for the very beautiful luncheon collation presentation. Our 2004 Journal Honorees are Doris and Moises Fins. Doris and Moises, together with their sons Albert and Bennett, are warm and devoted members of our Congregation. If you did not send in your Journal Ad, please do so soon. Sunday, May 9th, is Mother’s Day, we want to wish all mothers and grandmothers in the Canarsie Community a healthy, happy and safe day together with family and friends.
