City EMT Accused Of Sexually Abusing Student At P.S. 279

Police this week arrested an
off-duty emergency medical technician and charged him with sexually
abusing a 10-year-old girl twice recently — once in March and once in April — in the auditorium at
P.S. 279.

According to detectives from the 69th Precinct, Alfred Peeples, 41, of East 99 Street allegedly molested the girl while they were waiting alone in the auditorium of the school, which is located at East 104 Street and Avenue K. Sources said Peeples allegedly put his hand on the girl’s shoulder and then moved it down over her clothes in March and then again on April 2. The girl told her mother, who reported the incident to police.

Peeples, who is assigned to the Emergency Medical Service contingent at Central Booking in Downtown Brooklyn, was charged with sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and acting in a manner to injure a child under 17.
