TV Q&A By Evelyn Ludvigson 2004 DBR Media, NC Q: I love Frankie Valli on "The Sopranos." How did that come about? Isn’t he primarily a singer? Jan G. A: As Frankie puts it, "Everyone knows I sing." Actually, he was asked to be on the show some time ago. However, he declined because he would have been playing himself. When this role came up, that of Rusty Millio, he jumped at the chance to show off his acting chops. Prior to this role, he was also offered something else, a really sleazy guy, but "Sopranos" creator David Chase didn’t tell Frankie was right for that part. Q: What is the name of the actor who plays John McBain on "One Life to Live"? I just love him. Can you also give me an address where I can write to him? Kelly P. A: His name is Michael Easton. Write to him c/o "OLTL," 77 W. 66th Street, New York, NY 10023. Q: I used to listen to Howard Stern in the morning, but he’s been getting on my nerves lately. All he does is rant against the FCC and President Bush. What’s his beef anyway? I’ll bet he’s losing a lot of listeners because of his tirades. Randy W. A: Stern feels he’s being censored because the FCC has imposed indecency fines on the company that distributes Stern’s show. He’s blaming President Bush, for some absurd reason. The New York Daily News re-cently explored how listeners feel about Stern’s rants, and it was evenly split. Diehard fans defended Howard, while other fans said they were completely turned off by the tone his show has taken. Q: I loved "The Drew Carey Show." I’m so sorry it hasn’t been on recently. It’s just so quirky and atypical. Will it be back? Diana G. A: I doubt it. However, I’m sure Drew will be back in some incarnation. His show, unfortunately, took a nosedive in the ratings, which is why it disappeared without so much as a whimper. Send questions to Ev c/o DBR Media, Inc., P.O.
