Rabbi Myron Rakowitz, President Israel Maya, Hazan Isac Faineh and Sisterhood President Hermosa Behar cordially invite you to attend our Religious and Educational programs.

Friday night service begin with Shir Hashirim at 7 PM. Everyone is invited to attend our Kiddush this Shabbat which is being tendered by Rabbi Myron and Sarah Rakowitz in memory of Sarah’s mother Ida Kitainik.

Rabbi Rakowitz conducts a class immediately following the Kiddush on Shabbat morning. Saturday evening Tehilim and Torah Study at 6:15 PM, followed by Seudah Shilisheth. Daily services at 7:00 AM, Sunday services at 8:00 AM, Shabbat services at 8:30 AM.

We want to thank all those who attended the Canarsie Community Holocaust Memorial service which was held last Monday, April 19th at Young Israel of Canarsie. Mr. John Balan, guest speaker, was able to hold everyone’s attention and interest. He was good and we all feel that many and more audiences would benefit from his works and message.

We thank all the local Synagogues and the Students of Yeshiva R’Tzahd and the Chior of Yeshiva Ateres Issrael.

A thank you to Rabbi Avrom Hecht from the Jewish Community Council of Canarsie for all his time and efforts which made this a successful turnout.

On Sunday, May 2nd, at 2:30 PM, we will be honoring Hilda and Robert Eskenazi, our Journal Kick-Off Honorees, with a buffet lunchon to get our 39th Anniversary Journal off to a good and successful start.

We are pleased to announce that our 2004 Journal Honorees for our 39th Annual Testimonial Journal are Doris and Moises Fins. Doris and Moises are warm and devoted members of our Kahal.
