Sowing Seeds For Mother Earth

Youngsters at Public School 66 took part in citywide and national activities for the 35th annual Earth Day last week. Since its inception in April 1970, Earth Day has come to raise awareness of protecting Earth’s environment and preserving its natural resources. Some use it for environmental concerns and others as an opportunity to plant a bulb or tree. Kindergarten Class K-127, under the guidance of the PS/IS 66’s Science Cluster teacher Wanda Vega, got down and dirty to plant a variety of plants last Thursday as Principal Joel Rubenfeld observed the activity.
