Shrine Of St. Jude Bi-Lingual Masses: The 12:30 PM Mass is our Bi-lingual Mass. The first reading, the Psalm and some of the hymns will be in the language of the day. April 25th English. Bake Sale: To help the 8th graders of St. Jude school raise money for their yearbook, we will have a BAKE SALE on Saturday April 24th and Sunday April 25th after all the Masses in the Narthex. Pulpit Sharing: For next Sunday’s Masses the priests of Canarsie will be switching Parishes. This will be an opportunity for priests and people of our cluster to get to know each other better. Bible Study: Our Spring Bible Study will focus on the book of Job from the Old Testament. It begins on Tuesday April 27th at 7:30 P.M. at Holy Family School on Flatlands Ave. and East 98th Street. This is part of our cluster adult education program. Homebound: Our parish is gifted with Eucharistic Ministers who help distribute Holy Communion at all our Sunday Masses. Another important part of their ministry, is to bring Communion to those who are unable to come to Mass. If you know of any person who is unable to come to Mass and wishes to receive Communion at home, please let us know by calling the rectory during office hours. Youth Group: Our high school youth group will meet next Sunday April 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room. Young Adults: Our Canarsie Young Adults (20’s - Early 30’s) Will meet at Holy Family School next Sunday at 2:00 P.M. For Mass and a talk on morality. Birthday Blessing: On Sunday April 25th after Holy Communion at each mass, we will invite anyone who had a Birthday during this month to come forward to receive a Birthday Blessing. Special Reminder!!! Please turn OFF all CELL PHONES and DEEPERS when you enter into Church. It is very distracting when they go off during Mass. Thank you for respecting others.
