69th Precinct Supervisors Trounce Police Officers At HES

Sixty-ninth Precinct brass and police officers posed Friday with youngsters from HES programs before the game. Charles Rogers

Scores of children yelled, "NYPD! NYPD! NYPD!" in the peanut gal-lery at the HES gym Friday, cheering on ten members of the 69th Precinct as they went head-to-head on the basketball court in a fight for bragging superiority last Friday.

Bragging rights indeed! It was more than that, with the precinct supervisors — from the command-ing officer to sergeants — playing against the rank - and - file police of-ficers.

In a series of arresting developments, the top guns took the honors, as each team member played as if he was a Knick playing against a Net.

The final outcome of the game was Supervisors-40, Rank & File-30.

Heavy action during the game as Supervisors won handily 40-30.

Supervisors included Deputy In-spector Robert Johnsen, commander of the precinct; Lt. Lamont Jasper; Sergeant Ray Singletary; Sergeant Norman Miller, Sergeant Newell Laird and Sergeant Ray Benitez.

Police Officers included Cory Constantine; Gregory Waithe; Louis Lalumia; Robert Rodriguez; Ikim Whitley; Dennis Robinson; and Ho-ward Neysmith.
