Some "Disturbing" Articles Dear Editor: Recently there was a disturbing article in your newspaper regarding our local elected officials. "Cops Frustrated As Nite Clubs Close, Then Re-open The Same Night" (March 25) states "a problem with resistance from local elected officials, but did not specify anyone in particular," while alluding to comments from representatives of State Senator John Sampson and Assemblyman Frank Seddio. The former said that he was not averse to allowing clubs here, while the latter said he feels clubs may operate "as long as they meet all the requirements and obey the law." It’s interesting to note Sampson didn’t particularly like the billiards parlor operating across from his office on Flatlands Avenue and East 91 Street. Councilman Fidler has taken a stand against owners who violate quality of life. Shouldn’t our elected leaders represent their constituents’ values? Anonymous
