Genesis Lodge Deliver Packages

"ALPHA-GENESIS SUNSHINE FOUNDATION", the charitable arm of the GENISIS LODGE No. 64, Knights of Pythias, distributed their many Passover packages to the senior citizens and shut-ins in the Midwood, Gravesend areas in addition to Sheeps-head Bay and Coney Island. In addition, Waldbaum Gift Certificates were,presented to the elderly and disabled in the Canarsie, Mill Basin and Starrett areas.

The many recipients were grateful that Genesis Lodge thought of them during this Passover season. Their only hope was that this "Operation Hope" could continue.

"Operation Hope" is made possible through the many donations received throughout the year by members and their friends who contribute to the Alpha-Genesis Sunshine Foundation. Bernard Rothenberg who is Kings County Commander of the Jewish War Veterans, and a member of Genesis Lodge, directed the distribution through the JWV.

Allan Greenberg, the President of Alpha Genesis Sunshine Foundation thanked the many volunteers who cordially helped with all the distribution.

Besides "Operation Hope" the Alpha- Genesis Sunshine Fountlation contributes to many charitable organizations throughout the City of New York such as Adult. Retardates Center, Cancer Care, Daytop Village, Deborah Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, and many other worthwhile charities.

A special evening was set aside recently for the distribution of checks to these various charitable organizations.
