Brooklyn Realtors Attend Info Session

The Brooklyn Board of Realtors sponsored an all-day information session last week at the El Caribe to inform its new members of the many benefits of becoming a realtor. The reason for this event was the tremendous increase of new members from the Brooklyn New York Multiple Listing Service who last year voted to become realtors.

There were over 600 attendees at this event who received their Code of Ethics training in the morning from Patrick Reilly, Vice President of the New York State Association of Realtors. During lunch the members were given specific benefit information by current NYSAR President Joseph Canfora and NYSAR’s Chief Executive Officer Chuck Staro. In addition, the members were given an extensive legal update by Alfred Fazio, the Brooklyn Board’s legal counsel.

Realtors from neighboring counties were present as well to show their support for this major influx of members. These included George Wonica from Staten Island and Past President of the NYS Association, Carol Kope, President of the Westchester Board and Sanford Kruger, Executive Officer of the Staten Island Board of Realtors.

Many affiliate companies were present as well to personally discuss the corporate benefits of realtor membership.
