Local Kids Eggscited For 69th Precinct’s Annual Easter Event

Youngsters in the audience showed their delight with puppets and Steel Band entertainment.

Hundreds of youngsters were on hand at P.S. 66 last Friday to be among the first in the community to usher in the upcoming Easter season with the 69th Precinct’s Fourth Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

The event featured plenty of fun, including a live puppet show, some high-stepping by the Precinct Explorers, the Explorers Choir and the Youth Steel Pan Group.

Police Officer Jim Johnson, the precinct’s youth officer, handled the Master of Ceremonies duties, putting an emphasis on crime prevention, anti-crime advice and safety. He introduced some of the hosts, including members of the Community Council and Com-manding Officer Deputy Inspector Robert Johnsen.
