MAN ROBBED,
SHOT 3 TIMES

A 28-year-old man walking in
the community driveway between East 85 Street and East 86 Street
near Glenwood Road shortly before midnight last Friday was shot three times and robbed as he was counting an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to Brookdale Hospital by a private car he flagged down after the shooting. He was treated and admitted to the hospital. Police said his wounds were "not life-threatening."

According to a report filed at the 69th Precinct, police were informed of the shooting by doctors at Brookdale. The victim, an East Flatbush resident, told them he was walking in the driveway, which exits on the east side of East 85 Street, and was counting money when he was approached by two men. One of the men pulled out a small handgun from his pocket and said, "Give me that!" The victim said he started to struggle with both attackers and the man with the gun shot him three times. One of them grabbed the money and both fled in an unknown direction.

The victim told police both attackers were male blacks. One is about six feet tall and the other is about five-feet, seven inches. No other description was given.

Police said they hope someone in the area might have heard the disturbance. They ask that anyone with information call them at (718) 257-6215 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls will be kept strictly confidential.
