Pets should always have a current identification tag on their necks so if they get lost AC&C can return them to you." AC&C offers the following tips to help be a responsible pet guardian on New Year’s Eve: • Keep your pets indoors in a • Pay attention to your pet’s behavior and act accordingly. If he is frightened let him know that it will be OK, but don’t coddle him too much as he will think its OK to be afraid. • Do not allow children to touch frightened pets. Animals communicate through their body language, and if a child does not read what an animal is saying they can get bitten. • Watch doors as people come and go from your home during parties. • Always have a current license and identification on your animal’s neck so if he gets lost he can be returned to you. If you have lost an animal, visit our animal care centers in Manhattan, Brooklyn & Staten Island, or visit our web site: www.nycacc.org.
