Senior Program Addresses Prejudice Are you 55 and over? Do you believe that we should all respect each other’s differences regardless of race, age, gender, ethnicity, religion, physical appearance, or physical/ mental ability? If so, the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program invites you to join its award winning Pre-judice Reduction Program team of volunteers, serving kindergarten through fifth grade children. As a team member, you would help a small group of students participate in various anti-bias education activities such as a play, puppet show, drawing exercises, watching videos, and group discussions designed to make them think about and understand the im-portance of respect for feelings, human differences and for each other. Prejudice Reduction Program volunteers commit to an eight session train-ing and then agree to volunteer one morning or afternoon a week for a As a result of 9/11, intolerance is growing throughout New York City.
