TV Q&A By Evelyn Ludvigson 2003 DBR Media, NC Q: I adore the new series "Las Vegas" and am particularly smitten with Josh Duhamel. What can you tell me about him? Before this series, I’d never heard of him. By the way, please tell me he’s single! Linda K. A: Obviously, you don’t watch soap operas. Josh rose to fame in the role of Leo on "All My Children." He’s 31, and his hometown is Minot, N.D. He stands 6’3". While he is still single, he’s set to marry Kristy Pierce, a commercial actress, next May. * * * Q: How does Chuck Schumer really feel about all the attention his fellow senator from New York, Hillary Clinton, gets? After all, he’s the senior senator. Whenever I see them together, they look friendly enough, but a friend says there’s bad blood. Don C. A: Chuck is known as the guy in Washington who’d bowl anyone over in his path to get to a microphone and TV camera. While he’s never said anything publicly about Mrs. Clinton, it’s a sure bet he’s not happy with how she overshadows him. In fact, rumors are rampant that Chuck wants to run for governor of New York and will leave the Senate. Toward that end, he seems to be working behind the scenes to steal support from New York’s Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, who definitely has his hat in the gubernatorial ring. Insiders are saying that Chuck’s supporters have even gone so far as to try to discourage people from contributing to Spitzer’s campaign chest so that they can ante up for Chuck when the time comes. Nasty business this politics! * * * Send questions to Ev c/o DBR Media, Inc., P.O. Box 21, Hopewell Jct., NY 12533, or e-mail: deckert@ dbrmedia.com.
