Boosting Brooklyn’s Outlook
The Brooklyn City Council delegation this week joined Speaker Gifford Miller and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz in highlighting restorations in the city’s Fiscal Year 2004 budget that positively impact the city of Brooklyn. "We didn’t get everything we wanted, but even during these difficult financial times, most of our essential services have been saved," said the Borough President. "Child health clinics, day-care slots, senior center weekend meals, garbage collection and the Prospect Park Zoo will continue to be crucial components in the daily lives of Brooklynites throughout the borough."
