Tuning In ©2002 King Features Synd.,Inc. "Stranded," a four-hour miniseries, airs on the Hallmark Channel June 15 and 16. The production, which is based on the 1813 literary classic "The Swiss Family Robinson," stars Liam Cunningham as a man of conscience whose refusal to call anyone but God sovereign results in his being sentenced to 15 years in an Australian penal colony. His wife refuses to break up the family, and with their children in tow, she sets sail on the convict ship. A storm maroons them on a tropical island. The evil ship’s captain steals their youngest child, Jacob, before he leaves with the last boat. Over the years, they turn the island into a home, and dream of one day finding Jacob and being reunited as a family. As with many of the Hallmark productions, this will be a good one to watch with the family. SPINS AROUND THE DIAL: Anthony Michael Hall ("Weird Science") co-produces and stars in "The Dead Zone," premiering June 16 on USA Network. The series, based on the film starring Christopher Walken, is the story of a man whose life is forever changed when he realizes he has a gift that can help others, but at great cost to himself. On June 16, "Witchblade," starring Yancy Butler as the detective who has been chosen to wear the mysterious "witchblade" and David Chokachi (ex-"Baywatch") as her partner, returns to TNT for a second season. Liz Garbus and Rory Kennedy’s new four-hour documentary, "Sixteen," airs on Oxygen June 16, 23, 30 and July 7. Over the course of the series, the young women whom the producers interview show a remarkable insight into the world into which they were born and raised and the world they hope to find outside.
