69th Precinct Council Baseball League Completes First Full Week
Clinic Division

In our first full week of the season, the excitement among the players and family was high This Monday, our superstar hitters were James Latham, Nicholas McJolly and Doreen Wright. These lil’ sluggers were hitting them out of the ballpark and they have the achievement awards to prove it.

In Wednesday’s action, our fantastic fielders were Brandon Blackbird, Shatia McPhaul and Davante Kiah-Johnson. The achievement awards you received were well deserved!! These six superstars were tops this week. Congratulations!!

Farm Division

In the Farm Division opener, the F team took on the C team on July 16th. Shade Peterson, Robben Paul and Lawrence Williams were our offensive stars. Each had a hit and an R.B.I. Great plays in the field were made by Shawn Jimenez, Bryant Gordon and Justin.

On July 18th, the F team won 11-5. Vinny Carlino went 3 for 3 and Tobi Awopetiv homered and drove in 3 runs. Severio Ford played an outstanding second base. Also, Bryant Gordon hit a towering grand slam, while Trevor Wright and Ashley Young supplied the rest of the offense. In the second game, the A team overpowered the C team 13-1. Rubin King Jr. went 3 for 3 with a homer and 7 R.B.I.’s and Manley Cradle also went 3 for 3. Outstanding defense went to Mike and Kenny James.

Minor Division

In the opening week, the A team took on the B team in an offensive battle. B outslugged the A team 11-10. Aaron Melo supplied most of the offense going 4 for 4, with a homer, a triple and 4 R.B.I’s. Matthew Williams went 3 for 4, while making two great plays in the field. In a losing effort, Mike James hit two long homeruns. In Ivan Rodriguez-like fashion, Marcus Perry threw out three runners attempting to steal.

In the July 18th game, the B team again beat the A team 14-4. Philip Coard pitched an excellent game with six strikeouts. He also went 3 for 4 with two doubles. The B team remains undefeated.
