Youth Refuses To Give Cops Police from the 69th Precinct are investigating the mystery surrounding the stabbing of a 17-year-old Canarsien last Thursday, July 19th. According to a police report issued this week, the victim, whose name was not revealed, became involved in an altercation on the corner of East 87th Street and Avenue L at about 11:30 a.m. Police were alerted to the incident later when a doctor from Beth Israel Hospital-Kings Highway Division called them to say he was treating the teenager. Police from the local precinct responded and talked to the youth’s father, who said his son was stabbed "when two men grabbed him on Avenue L and started stabbing him in the chest." The report said the attackers fled after the stabbing. The police officers said the victim was "uncooperative and refused to give details" on the incident. He was listed in stable condition at the hospital.
