Rival Super Bowl Mayors
Make Friendly Wager

Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and Mayor Martin O’Malley, of Baltimore, Maryland, last week set wagering terms on the outcome of the Super Bowl XXXV between the New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens. This year’s Super Bowl will take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida this Sunday, January 28th.

If the Ravens should win, among the items Mayor O’Malley owes Mayor Giuliani are:

•a bushel of crabs,

•a dozen Baltimore burger cookies,

•other items to be determined.

Mayor O’Malley also agrees to wear a New York Giants Super Bowl XXXV Champions cap in public.

Should the Ravens win, Mayor Giuliani will send Mayor O’Malley:

•two tickets to the Broadway show of Mayor O’Malley’s choice,

•a copy of the Encyclopedia of New York City,

•an assortment of fresh fish from the Fulton Fish market,

•a case of bottled New York City tap water, and,

•a case of Brooklyn Lager.

Mayor Giuliani also agrees to wear a Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl XXXV Champions cap in public.

"The Giants incredible 41 -0 victory over the Minnesota Vikings this past weekend should have the Baltimore Ravens very afraid," said the mayor. "I believe the Giants are unbeatable, and on behalf of all Giants fans everywhere I want to wish them the best of luck on Super Bowl Sunday in Tampa."
